Title: AMC's move to LA has me worried

what if our favorite actors on the show decide not to make the move to LA
I wouldn't blame them if that's what they did they have families and the show's production moving to LA is not a temporary one so I am worried that Alicia and TK will decide not to make the move OR if they went along that they might not re sign with the show when their contracts are up.

Sorry I am worried and I am rambling on

I'm not worried, yet.

It's too soon and there has not been enough time or information provided for me to start worrying. I know that I've just seen a headline that said anyone on contract will be given the chance to move if they'd like. That's a plus as far as I am concerned. Now the decision is in the hands of TK and AM and they will both do what is best for them and their families.

I am hoping they will choose to relocate. I am desperately hoping for that. In the meantime, I'll be scouring the internet looking for crumbs of information while rooting for the outcome that I want - TEAM SLATER in L.A.! :cheer

I also read that the actors on contract will be moved.
However what if lets say 4-5 contract actors or all of them decide they don't want to move is AMC going to recast them all?

This is going to be such a mess
I will wait and see what else comes down the wire

I would hope that ABC and AMC considered all of those scenarios. I can't imagine that they didn't at the very least put out some "feelers" to see how such a decision would impact.

Losing that many veterans would completely change the landscape of the show and it's unlikely that it would recover. Soap fans are some of they most loyal fans around. We put up with a LOT because of our love for our shows and the characters on them. However, we don't like too much change, too quickly. We tend to balk when there are too many new faces even when veterans are still on the show.

It's going to be an interesting next few months. For a move in January, they don't exactly have too long to make decisions.
